Utility Operator

Overview

Clark Personnel is hiring a Utility Operator for its facility in Calvert, Alabama. This is a full-time, onsite position with rotating shifts and an hourly pay rate of $20. The company is looking to add someone to a growing, fast-moving team.

Role Summary

The Utility Operator will support finishing operations, help maintain product standards, keep production moving, and contribute to a safe, organized workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Run and oversee finishing machinery so product quality stays within standards.
• Examine completed steel items to confirm they match company and customer requirements.
• Diagnose small mechanical problems and help keep equipment operating properly.
• Record production activity and quality results accurately.
• Work according to strict safety rules and keep the work area clean.
• Coordinate with coworkers to help the team achieve production goals.
• Take on other duties assigned by supervisors as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or an industrial setting is preferred.
• A high school diploma is required.
• A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are mandatory.
• Candidates must clear pre-employment screening.
• A physical examination and drug test are required before joining.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary.
• Applicant must be able to stand for long periods and work in changing temperature conditions.
• Facial hair must be shaved to allow respirator fitting.
• Strong focus on detail and safety is essential.

Additional Information

This role is offered as full-time and contract. Rotating shift work is part of the schedule.
