About the Company

LinkedIn is the largest professional networking platform in the world, created to expand economic opportunity for people across the global workforce. Its products are designed to help members build meaningful connections, find new opportunities, grow their capabilities, and access useful insights each day. The company also focuses on employee growth and aims to foster a workplace grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment.

The organization’s mission is to help transform how the world works.

Role Overview

This position is located in the Bangalore office. LinkedIn follows a flexible work model built on trust and designed to support culture, connection, clarity, and the changing needs of the business. For this role, the work arrangement is hybrid, with work split between home and a LinkedIn office on selected days based on team requirements.

Within the Technology & Product Operations organization, you will lead initiatives that improve the product and GTM operating system by using proprietary data to raise product quality, support better tooling, and reduce friction across member, customer, and GTM experiences.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can deliver advanced AI-based analytics and agentic solutions, generate actionable insights, and create measurable business outcomes. You will design data-led initiatives that deliver both immediate impact and long-term strategic value.

The role calls for a strong mix of business understanding and technical depth, along with sound product judgment and practical experience with modern AI tools and methods. You should be comfortable working in complex and ambiguous data environments, building scalable learnings, and influencing stakeholders through collaboration and relationship-building.

You will act as a player-coach: building solutions directly, writing production-grade code with AI tools, and guiding operations and analytics teammates on AI applications and tooling. You will also drive complex work from prototype to scalable automation, partner with R&D on internal platform-based solutions, and advise on improvements to technical platforms and data infrastructure.

The main objective of this position is to design and develop agentic workflows, predictive models, and automated systems that materially change how operations teams work, while also communicating insights in a way that resonates with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently design, develop, and launch scalable data products, AI/ML models, and GenAI-powered agentic workflows for use cases such as member friction, customer impact, and anomaly detection.
  • Set the technical direction and architecture for the Technology & Product Operations organization, including choices around frameworks, tools, and engineering practices.
  • Work with R&D teams to create applications using internal platforms and contribute recommendations for improving technical platforms and data infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines, advanced analytics systems, and insight-delivery workflows using robust Python and SQL.
  • Apply modern AI, LLM, and machine learning methods such as RAG and fine-tuning to address GTM business challenges alongside Operations, Data Science, and Engineering partners.
  • Coach operations and analytics colleagues on AI tools and practical use cases, while setting strong standards for code quality and engineering discipline.
  • Convert technical concepts and model outputs into clear, executive-ready narratives for senior GTM and Operations leaders.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to move models from prototype to production and ensure reliability and business value at scale.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics engineering.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience using Python for data work, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Experience with SQL on large-scale data warehouses.
  • At least 1 year of exposure to GenAI tools and frameworks such as LLM APIs and LangChain.
  • At least 1 year of experience building, deploying, and owning machine learning models or automated data solutions in production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with modern data stack and automation tools such as Airflow and Databricks.
  • Proven success leading complex and ambiguous technical efforts from idea to execution.
  • Experience shaping technical roadmaps in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong self-direction, resilience, resourcefulness, and a bias toward action.
  • Genuine interest in AI and a strategic perspective on using machine learning to inform business decisions.
