System Support Executive

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of support for the finance team when system issues arise, and resolve problems promptly.

• Review system data to spot patterns, risks, and areas where performance can be improved.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements for finance system changes and enhancements.
• Carry out testing and deployment of system upgrades and improvements.
• Train finance users on system navigation, usage standards, and best practices.
• Support adherence to regulatory obligations as well as internal controls and procedures.
• Prepare reports and dashboards that track system health and key financial indicators.
• Assist with month-end closing by uploading and preparing the required information in the finance system.
• Support periodic IT audit activities.
• Adapt quickly to ERP implementation or enhancement work.
• Take on additional ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in general ledger work or a comparable position is needed.
• High accuracy and strong organizational habits are important for the role.
• Prior exposure to accounting software and financial systems is necessary.
