About the opportunity
Bed Bath & Beyond Canada is building a new national retail platform from the ground up, and this role is part of the core team shaping that journey. This is a unique chance to contribute to the launch and growth of an iconic brand with the support of a well-established Canadian retailer.
Role overview
The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for supporting the full supply chain workflow, including planning, purchasing, and vendor integration. The position focuses on improving customer experience while keeping operations efficient through accurate forecasting, demand and replenishment planning, inventory control, cost management, timely shipping, and close coordination with cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will handle daily operational support, reporting, data analysis, issue resolution, and collaboration across departments. A strong candidate will be comfortable managing multiple moving pieces, working with data, and helping ensure customers receive a reliable delivery experience.
Key responsibilities
- Build and improve demand forecasts by using historical information and more advanced forecasting techniques.
- Convert forecast output into replenishment plans that account for safety stock, lead times, and ordering rules.
- Review market shifts, customer activity, and competitor movement to fine-tune demand expectations.
- Factor promotions and new product launches into forecasting models.
- Assist with vendor setup, data checks, and platform configuration.
- Create and manage purchase orders while coordinating supplier lead times and delivery timelines.
- Handle the complete purchase order cycle, including sending orders through EDI, API, or manual processes, plus confirmations and status tracking.
- Look into and correct mismatches involving purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Maintain clean and accurate supply chain data and transaction records across connected systems such as Fulfil and ERP tools.
- Track inbound shipments and address supply or delivery problems that affect product availability.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages and overstock, and apply inventory optimization methods.
- Partner with the Operations team on storage and space planning needs.
- Work with Marketing to ensure forecasts align with commercial plans.
- Prepare reports and analyze forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and demand patterns.
- Spot opportunities to improve forecasting and inventory processes.
- Resolve daily issues through quick analysis, communication, and practical action.
- Help document operating procedures and workflow steps.
- Track and refresh operational metrics on a regular basis.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain or operations; startup experience is considered an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel ability, including basic macro creation; Power BI experience is a plus.
- Prior exposure to integrated ERP systems and EDI setup; Fulfill.io experience is beneficial.
- Experience working with connected eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.
- An engineering or data science background is an added advantage.
- Strong forecasting capability with the ability to evaluate multiple data inputs and variables.
- A highly analytical mindset with a strong investigative approach.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify realistic solutions quickly.

Additional information
This is an active opening. Compensation for this position is between CAD 55,000 and CAD 70,000 per year, with the final offer depending on location, skills, education, experience, working conditions, and local market factors.
