Role Overview
Zobility is hiring a Supply Chain Manager in Phoenix, AZ. This onsite contract role is suited for someone who can step in quickly when supply or production issues arise, keep deliveries on track, and help strengthen the overall supply chain through both immediate problem-solving and longer-term improvements.
In this position, you will work with suppliers across regions to support the timely flow of affordable, high-quality parts. The role combines day-to-day issue resolution with process improvement work that helps improve performance and profitability.
Travel is expected to be about 25% to 30%, and may increase to as much as 40% depending on business needs.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership when urgent supply chain issues put production timelines at risk.
- Develop and execute practical solutions that remove delivery blockers and support business goals.
- Manage several priorities at once in a fast-moving environment with shifting deadlines.
- Partner with teams across the organization to make sure process outcomes support company objectives.
- Develop productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive faster resolution and better outcomes.
- Investigate root causes and lead corrective actions that create lasting fixes.
- Improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and contribute to sustainable growth through better processes.
- Use project management skills and data-driven judgment to deliver results under pressure.
- Look continuously for opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and day-to-day supply chain performance.
Required Background
Applicants should generally have either a university degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
Strong hands-on experience in supply chain operations and SAP is essential for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree in business or a technical discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience working directly with suppliers is highly valuable.
- Background in project management, Lean, or process improvement is a plus.
- A customer-focused mindset and dependable follow-through are important.
- Experience with delivery assurance is beneficial.
- Ability to organize initiatives and formalize processes is useful.
- Comfort using SAP along with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is expected.
- Exposure to multiple commodity categories is advantageous.
- Aerospace industry experience is preferred.
