Role overview

This is a permanent, full-time operations position based in Athol Park, South Australia, within a high-volume healthcare logistics setting. The role is focused on coordinating warehouse, dispatch, inventory, purchasing, and transport activities to keep supply chain operations running smoothly and efficiently.

The position sits at a senior distribution facility level and reports into the operations function. It involves supervising staff, supporting system migration and process improvement work, and helping maintain service, compliance, and performance standards across the distribution network.

Its work covers highly time-sensitive and specialised shipments, including medical devices, transplant organs, radioactive therapies, aerospace components, and other critical freight that requires precision and reliability.

Key duties

You will oversee day-to-day supply chain and distribution activity across warehouse and dispatch operations, while ensuring stock, transport, and purchasing processes are aligned to business needs. The role also includes leading people, monitoring KPIs, supporting system changes, and driving operational improvements.

Continuous improvement and systems

A major part of the job is identifying gaps in warehouse management and related workflows, then helping improve processes and system performance. The role supports optimization work across logistics tools and platforms such as HELIX, CTMS, MAESTRO, MXWMS, and CARGO WISE.

Working conditions

At times, you may need to work in a cold environment at approximately -4 degrees Celsius for short periods. The role also requires maintaining a constant state of alertness and prioritising safety at all times.
