Role overview
The supply chain function supports a rapidly expanding e-commerce operation with a mission to stay highly customer-focused. This position sits within the team that plans and runs the network for the UK fulfilment business, working alongside Fulfilment Centers, Transportation, Retail, and Finance to coordinate upstream and downstream partners while improving speed and cost across the end-to-end supply chain.
This is an analytical role for someone who likes solving complex problems, working with data, building trust across teams, and delivering measurable results. The work combines immediate execution with longer-term strategic planning and requires confident decision-making even when information is incomplete.
You will contribute to strategic projects and change initiatives at the EU level, partnering with multiple stakeholders and aligning with senior leadership. You will also handle analytical work that helps the team make smarter and more efficient decisions.
The core objective is to help deliver more products to customers in a safer, faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective way.
Key responsibilities
- Use sound business judgment to support both day-to-day and long-term improvements.
- Take ownership of program execution at both detailed and strategic levels.
- Find, prioritize, and implement process changes that reduce defects in the supply chain.
- Design and drive solutions that improve the end-to-end customer experience.
- Work effectively across functions and influence stakeholders in a collaborative setting.
About the team
Customer Fulfilment is one of Amazon’s foundational businesses and has grown from a small bookselling operation into a large global network processing more than 1.5 million orders each day. The team supports business growth across regions and services, using technology to improve product range, delivery speed, and affordability.
The fulfilment centres act as the first point in the delivery journey for many packages, managing dynamic inventory and enabling fast deliveries around the clock. The environment includes a wide variety of roles, from hands-on operational work to data analysis that supports decision-making across the business.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in business, finance, engineering, or technology.
- Prior experience in supply chain management or in program/project management.
- Experience using data and metrics to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and reporting results to senior leadership.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or technology.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
- Experience using analytical tools to solve business problems.
- Ability to build effective relationships across internal and external organizations.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain complex ideas to cross-functional audiences.
