Student Support Officer – Warrington

Role overview

This position is for a Student Support Officer based in Warrington with Morthyng Group Limited. The post focuses on supporting young learners aged 16 to 19 who are enrolled on a study programme.

What the role involves

• Handling a personal caseload of young people.
• Helping learners find appropriate training opportunities and work tasters.
• Working with each learner to set and agree their learning plan.
• Tracking attendance and following up as needed.
• Providing mentoring and coaching support.
• Identifying and securing suitable placement opportunities.

Salary and working arrangement

The annual salary is £29,342.50, with a pro-rata arrangement if the role is taken on a part-time basis. This is primarily a full-time appointment, although part-time or term-time-only working may be considered.

Required qualifications and commitment

Applicants should already hold, or be prepared to work towards, IAG Level 3 or Level 4.

The organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. Any appointment will depend on a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and the provision of at least two independent referees, who will be contacted before interview.
