About the School

Cecil Andrews College, established in 1980, is located in Seville Grove within the rapidly growing City of Armadale, Western Australia. About the Position

This permanent, full-time role begins in Term 4, 2026. It offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to student outcomes by supporting wellbeing, engagement and success through practical, caring and coordinated support.

As the Student Support Officer, you will assist the Student Services team by helping identify and respond to social, emotional, behavioural and engagement concerns. The role involves working with students, families, teachers, leaders and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and strengthen support across the school and the wider community.

This position is suited to someone who can combine empathy with strong organisation, remain professional, work within clear boundaries and manage a busy, changing environment effectively.

Key Duties

  • Support the Student Services Managers and Year Coordinators with student wellbeing and engagement matters.
  • Help coordinate student services and contribute to systems that respond to student needs.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, families and external agencies to address barriers to learning.
  • Provide practical administrative and coordination support in a fast-paced setting.
  • Maintain confidentiality, sound judgement and professional boundaries in all interactions.

Eligibility and Selection Information

Applicants must meet the conditions listed in the attached Job Description Form, including any additional eligibility and training requirements. This role requires Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or another visa with valid work rights for the appointment period. A valid Working With Children Check is required before commencement, along with consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit.

The selection process may be used to identify suitable applicants for similar vacancies that arise within the next 12 months. The Department also applies a four-day breach period to this process.
