Role Overview
ReWorks Solutions is hiring a detail-focused Staff Accountant for a full-time remote position. The role involves handling end-to-end accounting responsibilities across several entities, maintaining reliable financial records, and contributing ideas that streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Working Schedule
This position follows U.S. business hours, specifically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
Responsibilities
- Manage complete accounting cycles for multiple entities.
- Handle accounts payable entries and cash postings.
- Prepare and record payroll-related journal entries.
- Track, update, and maintain accruals.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve mismatches.
- Check financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Support monthly and annual closing activities.
- Look for ways to improve accounting workflows using automation and AI-based tools.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related subject.
- At least 3 to 5+ years of practical accounting experience with full-cycle responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, cash postings, payroll entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement review.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, which is mandatory.
- Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and organizational discipline.
- Interest in using AI and automation to improve accounting efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting.
- A proactive, process-improvement mindset with solid communication and problem-solving skills.
