Solutions Architect - AI and Cloud / LLMs / Large Language Models / MLOps

Role overview

A technology company focused on AI and cloud platforms is hiring a Solutions Architect for its pre-sales team in Qatar. This position combines customer engagement, technical consulting, and solution design. It requires someone who can speak confidently with engineering teams while also influencing senior decision-makers.

The main purpose of the role is to turn customer needs into reliable, scalable AI-based architectures. Work will cover the full cycle from early discovery and proposal development to live demonstrations and deployment planning.

Important: candidates must have the legal right to work in Qatar to be considered.

What you will do

You will collaborate with customers and partners to understand business and technical needs, prepare technical proposals, respond to RFPs and tenders, and deliver independent product demonstrations.

You will design and present solutions for cloud, on-premise, sovereign, and hybrid environments, using strong expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including their native AI and machine learning services.

You will also size GPU environments for LLM training and inference, assess model performance across accuracy, latency, and throughput, and support MLOps workflows using CI/CD, orchestration tools such as Kubeflow and MLflow, and container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.

The role also calls for familiarity with LLM inference technologies such as vLLM, llama.cpp, and OpenVINO, as well as model formats including ONNX and Hugging Face. Practical coding ability in Python and SQL, along with working knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face, will be used regularly.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Background in pre-sales or consulting, with substantial direct responsibility for customers and partners.
• Strong fluency in both Arabic and English.
• Legal permission to work in Qatar.
• Willingness to travel for meetings, conferences, and project-related needs.
• Experience in areas such as computer vision, speech, vision-language models, AI optimisation and quantisation, RAG pipeline design, multi-agent systems, or data architecture for batch and streaming workloads would be an advantage.
• Understanding of data privacy rules such as GDPR and awareness of current AI regulatory changes is considered valuable.
