Overview
This contract opportunity is for a Social Media Coordinator supporting a mature social ecosystem that is still expanding. The role blends strategy, content planning, and collaboration across teams, working with internal subject matter experts, stakeholders, agencies, and external partners.
The position is focused on coordinating and shaping content rather than creating every asset independently. Success in this role means helping the right messages reach the right audience at the right moment through a network of contributors and influencers.
Core Responsibilities
- Help strengthen and advance an existing social media strategy that is in a growth stage.
- Own planning, scheduling, and prioritization of content across social channels.
- Keep content connected to broader brand, campaign, and event priorities.
- Apply strong context and editorial judgment when developing social content plans.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to turn their knowledge into compelling social posts.
- Coordinate with internal contributors and influencers already supporting content creation.
- Work alongside agencies and internal teams involved in social delivery from end to end.
- Identify organic posts with strong performance potential that can be boosted through paid media.
- Support early-stage efforts in new and experimental advertising channels.
- Use social management tools actively, with a strong emphasis on Sprout Social.
- Collaborate with teammates responsible for publishing and scheduling.
- Adapt comfortably to changing tools, processes, and workflows.
- Contribute to social planning for one major annual corporate event and about 10 large recruitment or brand events each year across the U.S. and Canada.
Required Experience and Skills
- 2 to 3 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or digital marketing.
- Strong organizational and project management capability.
- Deep familiarity with social platforms, trends, and audience behavior.
- Proven ability to collaborate across marketing, communications, and subject matter expert groups.
- Hands-on experience with Sprout Social.
- Good judgment and the ability to interpret nuance and context in content.
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting social efforts for events or large campaigns is a plus.
- Exposure to paid social strategy or media planning would be beneficial.
- Experience working with agencies or influencer programs is advantageous.
Location and Schedule
This role is based in the Greater Philadelphia area and follows a hybrid setup, with onsite presence approximately once per month. Candidates should be local to the region and available to meet in nearby office locations when needed.
Additional Information
This is a 12-month contract position. The role does not currently require travel.
