Role overview
This opportunity is for a Snowflake Solution Architect within a global consultancy serving financial services clients, although prior financial services experience is not mandatory. The position is based in Auckland and follows a hybrid arrangement, with around 2 to 3 days each week expected on site.
What the role involves
You will shape end-to-end Snowflake solutions and contribute to large, complex programs. The role calls for someone who can communicate technical ideas clearly to clients, work through difficult problems, and bring a progressive mindset to delivery. The team is looking for architects and engineers who are open to different approaches, willing to challenge existing ways of working, and focused on strong outcomes for both the team and its clients.
Technical focus
Experience is needed in designing Snowflake architectures and in understanding how Snowflake fits into the wider cloud ecosystem. You should be comfortable working with tools and practices such as ETL, CI/CD, dbt, and Airflow, and be able to see how these components connect in a broader platform environment. Interest in how AI can support your own work is also valued.
Working style and expectations
This is a hybrid role, and while 2 to 3 days per week in the office is the general expectation, some flexibility is required when specific client issues call for being on site. The client is looking for someone who will step in when needed and understand the importance of doing so.
Interview process
The hiring process has three stages: an introductory conversation with the internal recruiter, a technical and skills discussion, and a final conversation with an executive focused on your motivation and what you are seeking in your next role.

Compensation
