Role overview
The Shift Leader helps bring the restaurant’s purpose to life by supporting management in delivering food made with care, service delivered with warmth, and a dining atmosphere that feels welcoming and proud.

Qualification and work conditions
Candidates should have at least some high school education. Prior operations experience is preferred. If required by local or municipal rules, the applicant must obtain food safety credentials such as a Food Handler certificate at their own expense.
The role involves working in hot kitchen conditions with steam and food vapors, standing for long periods, preparing both hot and cold items, using a Chinese cook knife and other kitchen tools, and working quickly without sacrificing accuracy. Employees may need to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours, and reach across 36-inch counters to serve guests. The work area can be noisy, cramped, and fast-moving, with limited storage and high shelving.
The position also calls for strong verbal communication, the ability to adjust to changing priorities, and calm, effective handling of conflict and difficult situations.
