Overview

This full-time, permanent role is based at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany. The airport is part of a major aviation and logistics network that serves more than three million passengers annually and handles around 1.4 million tonnes of freight each year. What you will do

  • Own both the strategic and day-to-day HR controlling activities, while also improving the tools and methods used to manage them.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and explain HR metrics, reports, and management dashboards.
  • Handle workforce cost planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop clear, data-driven recommendations for management, HR leadership, and line managers.
  • Ensure HR decisions are supported by transparent reporting and solid data.
  • Advance HR reporting, people analytics, and controlling workflows.
  • Review workforce-related data to spot trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and implement automation and digitalization opportunities in HR-related processes.
  • Contribute to strategic HR initiatives and the ongoing refinement of reporting and analytics tools.

What we are looking for

  • A degree in business administration, human resources management, controlling, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in HR controlling or in a finance/controlling role with an HR component.
  • Strong knowledge of personnel controlling, HR analytics, payroll cost planning, and forecasting.
  • Good understanding of employment law, collective agreements, wage tax, social insurance, and payroll fundamentals.
  • Experience with provisions, accruals, HGB financial statements, and personnel cost analysis.
  • Excellent reporting and data analysis capabilities, including the ability to structure complex datasets.
  • Confident use of MS Excel plus experience with HR systems such as Sage and SAP, and BI tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a pronounced affinity for numbers.
  • Excellent communication, advisory, and presentation skills.
