School Bus Driver

Role Overview

We are hiring school bus drivers in Battleford, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will support your local community by safely transporting students to school in the morning and returning them home in the afternoon. There may also be extra driving opportunities for field trips and special events.

What the Job Involves

• Bring students to school at the start of the day and take them home after classes.
• May include additional routes for excursions and school activities.
• Drive both morning and afternoon routes from Monday to Friday.
• No evening, weekend, holiday, or summer shifts are required.

Training and Experience

No prior experience is needed. The employer provides guidance and professional training so you can develop the skills required to operate safely and confidently as a school bus driver.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay is $20.25.
• Pay may vary based on experience and qualifications.

Daily Duties

• Safely transport students and support them during school-related travel.
• Help students board and exit the bus, including assistance with seatbelts and mobility aids when needed.
• Maintain a calm and orderly environment onboard.
• Complete inspections before and after routes, including checks of brakes, lights, tires, and emergency exits.
• Report mechanical concerns without delay and keep the vehicle clean and sanitary.
• Follow traffic rules and company safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate with parents, school personnel, and dispatch regarding delays or student conduct issues.
• Use strong leadership and customer service skills while on duty.

Eligibility
