Opportunity Overview

This contract opportunity is for an experienced freelance scheduler to support a major, large-scale construction programme in Munich, Germany. The assignment is tied to a prominent US technology company and involves working in a fast-moving environment with international project teams. The initial term is 12 months, with the possibility of a longer extension. The role is expected to start as soon as possible.

Core Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and continuously refine detailed schedules for major construction projects.
• Watch project progress closely, flag timing risks or delays, and suggest practical mitigation actions.
• Work in step with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to keep timelines aligned.
• Create schedule updates, forecasts, and performance analysis reports.
• Manage milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities across several workstreams.
• Assist with planning activities and allocation of resources.
• Apply scheduling standards and proven best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Background

• Prior work as a scheduler on large construction or real estate assignments is required.
• Solid experience in real estate and construction project environments is essential.
• Advanced capability with Microsoft Project (MS Project) is necessary.
• Professional-level German (at least B2) and English are both required.
• Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder settings with international teams is important.
• Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and stakeholder coordination experience are expected.

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to high-value infrastructure projects or technology campus developments is an advantage.
• Comfort handling shifting priorities in a demanding project environment will be useful.
• Understanding of project controls and scheduling methods is beneficial.
