Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Singapore is responsible for supporting and coordinating health and safety efforts across the organization. The Safety Coordinator will help implement safety programs, policies, and procedures, while ensuring day-to-day compliance with applicable safety requirements.
Key Duties
The role includes carrying out workplace safety inspections, checking adherence to regulations, arranging and delivering safety training, and assisting with investigations into incidents and accidents. The coordinator will partner with operations, engineering, and management teams to spot hazards, suggest corrective measures, and encourage a strong safety mindset across the company.
Additional responsibilities include keeping safety records up to date, producing reports, and supporting broader environment, health, and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring practical knowledge of health and safety, along with experience in occupational health. Background in environment, health, and safety programs and compliance is expected. The role also requires the ability to create and present effective safety training for different employee groups.
Experience in accident investigation, including identifying root causes and defining corrective actions, is important. Applicants should have a relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Familiarity with Singapore safety laws, standards, and accepted industry practices is required. Strong written and verbal communication, accurate documentation, and the ability to engage with stakeholders are essential. The role also calls for attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
Professional safety or EHS certifications such as NEBOSH or WSQ safety qualifications will be considered an advantage.
