Role overview
PALFINGER MARINE is looking for a Rope Access Technician Level 1 to support marine and offshore work in Qatar. The role focuses on safe work at height and assisting with installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair activities while meeting required safety and quality standards. You will be part of a team delivering efficient project execution in a dynamic environment that supports personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Carry out rope access work at height for installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance using approved methods and safety procedures.
- Use relevant technical skills from mechanical, electrical, welding, instrumentation, or similar fields to help with equipment installation and upkeep.
- Work according to instructions, permits, and procedures to complete tasks accurately, efficiently, and in line with safety rules.
- Coordinate with teammates to share technical information and help solve operational challenges.
- Keep safety, tools, and records in order by using equipment correctly, following safety guidance, and finishing the required reports and documentation.
Requirements
- IRATA Level 1 certification with a valid rope access qualification.
- Minimum diploma-level education in a relevant discipline.
- Technical training or vocational education in a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in a similar position.
