Role overview

This position is for a skilled rigger based in Doha, Qatar, supporting heavy-lifting and equipment-movement activities on site. The role focuses on safe preparation, setup, movement, inspection, and dismantling of rigging systems while coordinating closely with the construction and rigging teams.

Key responsibilities

• Check loads before movement and make sure they are ready for lifting or transport.
• Position, level, and align heavy machinery and equipment with precision.
• Choose the correct rigging tools and hardware for each job.
• Assemble rigging components such as beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts before use.
• Perform final pre-use checks on all rigging gear and related equipment.
• Track the condition of rigging tools and keep them in working order.
• Move loads manually or with heavy equipment as required by the task.
• Follow all company rules and applicable safety procedures during operations.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with rigging and construction personnel.
• Take rigging systems apart after use and complete post-operation inspections.

Candidate profile

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or an equivalent technical school qualification, along with around 5 years of practical experience in rigging. Strong familiarity with OSHA safety requirements is expected, as well as solid knowledge of rigging tools and heavy machinery. The job also calls for excellent hearing and eyesight, the ability to work at heights and in loud environments, strong numerical ability, physical stamina for lifting heavy equipment, and comfort working outdoors in difficult weather conditions.
