About the Role
DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced remote software engineer to support AI training initiatives. You’ll join a large global coding community of more than 100,000 professionals across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related specialties who contribute to practical AI progress.
What You’ll Do
The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You’ll collaborate with advanced AI models on tasks such as solving programming challenges, building feature-rich applications, and extracting insights through data analysis and visualization. Your contributions help improve intelligent systems as they learn and evolve.
Some contributors work alongside another full-time job, while others make this their primary focus and select projects and schedules based on their own availability.
How the Process Works
To begin, you create an account and complete a short assessment, which functions as the screening step. If successful, you’ll receive confirmation by email and paid assignments will become available through the platform.
Contracting Advantages
- You can decide which assignments to take and when to work on them.
- The role is done on your own time, using your personal computer from home.
- Compensation is hourly, beginning at $50–$100+ per hour, with some projects paying more.
Responsibilities
- Create and solve varied coding tasks used to improve AI systems, with a strong focus on Android development.
- Produce clean code examples along with clear, detailed explanations.
- Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
- Share feedback that helps shape future AI model performance.
Qualifications
- Strong English fluency at a native or bilingual level.
- Kotlin experience is preferred, along with proficiency in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
- Solid writing ability and good grammar.
- Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress.
- Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.
Payment and Other Notes
Payment is processed through PayPal, and you will never be asked to pay any money. PayPal will manage any currency conversion from USD.
