PYP Coordinator

Role Overview

Bloomingdale International School in Vijayawada is looking for an accomplished and committed PYP Coordinator to lead the Primary Years Program. This position suits someone with at least 4 years of relevant experience and a strong interest in guiding and strengthening an IB-aligned primary curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the rollout and day-to-day delivery of the PYP curriculum in line with International Baccalaureate standards.
• Work closely with teachers to build, refine, and support the school’s PYP practices and framework.
• Plan and run teacher training sessions and workshops to support effective curriculum delivery.
• Review how well the PYP is performing and make improvements where needed to support better student outcomes.
• Partner with the school leadership team on planning, targets, and long-term direction for the PYP.
• Act as a point of contact between the school, families, and the wider community on matters related to the PYP.
• Maintain compliance with IB expectations and take part in IB review and evaluation processes.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in a PYP Coordinator role or a similar educational leadership position.
• Sound knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme framework.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and parents.
• Dedication to building an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Workplace Details

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Candidates should be able to commute reliably or be willing to relocate, with employer-supported relocation considered as preferred. English fluency is preferred for this role. The work location is in person.

Education and Experience

A master’s degree is preferred. Prior experience of 4 years as a PYP Coordinator is preferred.
