Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Purchase Executive to manage the complete procurement cycle for raw materials, electrical components, consumables, and other essential items. The ideal candidate will secure the best terms regarding cost, quality, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and cultivate new vendors through various channels including online platforms like IndiaMart and TradeIndia, industry exhibitions, and professional references. Develop a network of backup suppliers for critical materials.
- Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), analyze comparative statements, conduct negotiations, and generate Purchase Orders (POs) with precise specifications, GST details, and agreed-upon terms and conditions.
- Monitor daily delivery schedules, coordinate the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) process, oversee quality inspections, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Validate vendor bills by matching PO, GRN, and invoice details, and diligently follow up on payment processing.
- Maintain an up-to-date PO register, track rate history, manage a vendor performance database, and prepare monthly purchase MIS reports.
- Facilitate import processes, including managing proforma invoices, payment terms, and shipping documentation for international procurement from regions like China, Korea, and Europe.
Requirements
- Possess 2-5 years of experience in B2B purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Hold a graduate degree, preferably in Commerce (B.Com) or Business Administration (BBA). A diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering is advantageous.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of materials such as steel, copper, electrical components, and refractory materials.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, and experience with accounting software such as Tally, Busy, or an ERP system.
- Familiarity with GST, HSN codes, E-Way Bills, and basic TDS procedures.
- Fluency in Hindi is essential, with working knowledge of English.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near the Sonipat, Kundli, Rai, Bahadurgarh, or North Delhi areas.
