You will contribute across a wide range of projects in multiple industries, giving you the chance to strengthen your project management career while handling demanding work that requires creativity, sound judgment, and solution-focused thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of low-voltage systems for new construction, including integrated security solutions such as video surveillance, access control, intercom, intrusion detection, RTLS, as well as audio/visual, public address, and structured cabling work.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, staffing plans, procurement activities, commissioning plans, and risk reduction strategies.
  • Coordinate timelines and work sequencing with subcontractors and other trades.
  • Create and nurture subcontractor relationships to maintain a reliable resource base and, when needed, manage subcontract selections for projects.
  • Direct, coach, train, and support field and coordination personnel in both office and site environments.

  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget while preserving high delivery standards.
  • Manage project communication thoroughly, both formal and informal, and escalate concerns when required.
  • Spot project risks and problems early and take corrective action to protect profitability.
  • Prepare accurate financial reporting for project performance, including forecasting, accruals, billing, receivables, payables, and working capital oversight.
  • Improve productivity by using proven best practices and standardized processes.
  • Continuously assess risk and support a safe, healthy work environment.
  • Handle closeout tasks such as as-builts, documentation, NOCs, and handoff to Service.
  • Develop client relationships that support future business growth.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Progressive prior experience as a Project Manager in the electrical or low-voltage construction field.
  • Experience leading large, complex construction projects is preferred.
  • Background in sales, estimating, or design is considered an advantage.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time well, and handle several deadlines at once.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to complete and pass pre-employment and customer-required background screening and drug testing.

Preferred profile

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • PMI certification.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and project tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Fieldwire, or similar platforms.

In line with company policy and applicable federal and provincial laws, the role includes planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and handling complaints and problem resolution.

  • May occasionally need to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to work at heights above 1.8 meters (6 feet).

Working conditions

  • The office environment is clean, orderly, well lit, ventilated, and typically low to moderate in noise.
