Production Technician

About the Role

Goodyear is hiring Production Technicians in Medicine Hat, Alberta, for an immediate start. This hands-on manufacturing role places you in a plant environment where you will help produce high-quality tire products while building practical knowledge in safety, quality, and teamwork. The company emphasizes strong training support, with more than 1,000 hours invested in new hires to help them work safely and effectively.

The starting wage is $26.40 per hour, with progression up to $33.01 after training. Final pay may differ based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and market location. What You Will Do

• Keep the workplace clean and maintain safe operating conditions.
• Follow established work instructions and safety requirements at all times.
• Operate tire-manufacturing and other industrial equipment when needed.
• Consistently meet quality standards for the products you produce.
• Carry out manual work in changing temperatures for long periods, which may include lifting, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights.
• Follow the company’s attendance expectations.
• Communicate clearly in both spoken and written form.
• Follow all instructions carefully and accurately.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must already be legally permitted to work in Canada without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and height-related work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must successfully clear all post-offer and pre-employment requirements.
• Availability to work any shift, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Background

• Prior experience as a production technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Additional training, education, or certification related to manufacturing.
• Experience working under industry safety standards.
