Role Overview
The Pricing Executive will manage quotation preparation and pricing coordination for air and ocean freight shipments, supporting both import and export movements. The role requires regular interaction with carriers, overseas agents, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable rate submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare freight quotations for air and ocean shipments covering both import and export requirements.
- Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas partners to collect and compare rates.
- Work with vendors and carriers to negotiate pricing and maintain market competitiveness.
- Manage RFQs, tenders, and ad hoc spot-rate enquiries.
- Keep rate agreements current and ensure pricing records are updated regularly.
- Assist the sales team by delivering accurate quotations within required timelines.
- Track market movement, competitor pricing, and changes across trade lanes.
- Maintain quotation trackers and pricing MIS reports.
- Verify margins and profitability before rates are released.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to support smooth execution.
Candidate Profile
The preferred candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in freight forwarding pricing, with strong exposure to both air freight and ocean freight. The role calls for solid understanding of trade lanes, surcharges, carrier costing, international agent coordination, and the ability to manage a large volume of quotation requests with confidence.
