Role Overview

The Porter supports quality repairs by preparing customer vehicles for service and ensuring that the shop, office, and surrounding property stay clean, organized, and presentable.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow the organization’s WOW operating approach consistently in daily work.
• Keep office interiors clean by removing trash, sweeping floors, and dusting counters and workspaces each day.
• Maintain production areas by emptying waste containers, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and returning tools and equipment to their correct places.
• Keep the parking lot and grounds orderly, including clearing sidewalks by shoveling when needed.
• Wash customer vehicles before repair work begins.
• Clean the inside and outside of customer vehicles after repairs are completed.
• Move customer vehicles to outside vendors or sublet repair locations when required.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Prior experience in automotive work is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Clear near vision is necessary for the role.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once is important.
• Strong attention to detail is expected.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Role involves pushing, pulling, and carrying items.
• Regular walking is required for 5+ hours.
• Some sitting is part of the job.
• Standing for 5+ hours is expected.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling may be required for 1+ hour.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
• Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts.
