Roles available

The crew is recruiting for three types of positions: toppy/labourers, pipe layers, and excavator operators.

Toppy / labourer duties and experience

• Apply a sound grasp of basic civil pipework principles and bring hands-on site experience.
• Carry out manual tasks, including repeated movements and moderate to heavy lifting and reaching.
• Work effectively as part of a civil construction team.
• Having confined space, quick cut, and front-end loader tickets is viewed favourably.

Pipe layer duties and experience

• Use prior experience to install sewer, stormwater, and water main services.
• Handle manual work involving repetitive movement, lifting, and reaching.
• Take and reduce levels using a dumpy level.
• Set up and work with a pipe laser.
• Read, interpret, and follow plans and construction standards.
• Confined space, quick cut, and front-end loader tickets are desirable.

Excavator operator duties and experience

• Operate machines of 20 tonnes and above.
• Bring proven experience with lifting operations.
• Complete deep excavation work safely and accurately.
• Work competently in shoring environments.
• Carry out trenching, pipe placement, backfilling, and compaction.
