Role summary
AbbVie is seeking a Pharmaceutical Technician to work at its Sligo site on Manorhamilton Road. This is a 12-month fixed-term position based fully on site and involves rotational shift work. The role supports the manufacture of drug product materials while working within strict compliance, regulatory, and organizational standards in a pharmaceutical processing setting.
Key duties
The position includes hands-on pharmaceutical processing, close coordination with the wider team, accurate record keeping in line with cGMP, and support for training and cross-training activities. The technician will also contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives, carry out commissioning and validation work as needed, maintain cGMP standards across the processing area, and follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
Qualification and experience
Candidates should ideally hold a third-level qualification in Engineering or a Science discipline, or bring at least 2 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment. Experience in a highly automated setting is preferred, and solid IT skills are required.
