Pega Senior Systems Architect

Role Overview

Virtusa is hiring a Pega Senior Systems Architect for an on-site position in Andhra Pradesh, India. This role calls for an experienced Pega professional who can guide solution delivery, work across teams, and contribute through the full lifecycle of design, development, and implementation.

Experience and Core Profile

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of overall Pega experience, including at least 3+ years working as a practicing SSA across multiple accounts. Certification as a Pega SSA is required. The profile also asks for 1+ year of exposure to international markets such as Australia, Europe, or the US.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should be comfortable with core Pega rule types and components, including UI, flows, flow actions, harnesses, integrations, agents, and activities. Hands-on familiarity with debugging and support tools such as Tracer, Clipboard, SMA, and Live UI is expected. A solid grasp of rule management tools, including export/import utilities, skimming, and bulk processing, is also important.

Additional value is given to experience with DevOps and Agile ways of working, as well as practical exposure to Pega Robotics, API standards, enterprise security protocols, and performance monitoring and optimization. Experience with Pega upgrades, application migration, and database migration is also part of the role.

Database and Collaboration

Good working knowledge of SQL with Oracle is required. The role also involves active collaboration with other teams to address cross-functional challenges and meaningful participation during requirements gathering, design, and construction stages to help drive successful delivery.
