Role overview
This is a permanent payroll administrator opportunity with a construction-focused organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000.
Key responsibilities
- Run weekly and monthly payroll cycles accurately and within required deadlines.
- Collect, review, and maintain timesheet data so records stay complete and current.
- Investigate and resolve payroll mismatches while responding to employee payroll questions.
- Stay current on payroll laws and apply compliant practices in day-to-day processing.
- Support payroll audits and internal reviews to help maintain regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with HR and Finance to keep payroll operations coordinated and efficient.
- Prepare payroll summaries and reports for management review.
- Protect payroll records by maintaining strict confidentiality and data security.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant brings at least 3 years of payroll experience, ideally in the construction sector, along with strong familiarity with payroll systems and timesheet administration. You should be detail-oriented, confident with numbers, comfortable handling pressure, and able to communicate clearly with employees and internal teams. Professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to solving payroll issues are important. A background in finance, business, or a related discipline is considered an advantage.
