Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Payroll Executive to join a fast-moving recruitment and staffing environment in Singapore. In this role, you will oversee payroll accuracy and timeliness for a substantial contractor population while ensuring full alignment with local employment and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run monthly, end-to-end payroll for around 300 or more contractors paid through the agency.
  • Calculate salaries accurately, including CPF, statutory deductions, overtime, allowances, reimbursements, and final pay.
  • Produce payroll reports and assist with monthly reconciliation work.
  • Support onboarding and exit administration, including employment contracts and payroll documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with the Employment Act, CPF rules, MOM guidelines, and other legal obligations.
  • Assist with work pass matters when needed, including applications, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Work with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve payroll questions quickly and professionally.
  • Keep employee records accurate and confidential.
  • Help prepare materials for payroll audits and internal or external reviews.
  • Look for ways to streamline payroll workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Take on other HR, payroll, or administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accountancy, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, ideally in recruitment, staffing, or outsourced payroll settings.
  • Background handling payroll for a large contractor workforce of about 200 people or more.
  • Solid understanding of Singapore payroll rules, including the Employment Act, CPF, MOM requirements, statutory contributions, and compliance practices.
  • Exposure to work pass administration such as Employment Pass, S Pass, and Work Permit will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
  • High level of numerical accuracy, strong attention to detail, and good organisation.
  • Able to juggle multiple deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
