Overview
GovCIO is seeking an Operational Support Officer Assistant to back the SOJTF-C J2X Counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) branch as a subject matter expert in CI and HUMINT activities. The role supports SOJTF-C J2X in overseeing and managing all operational reporting within the Global Controlled Operations Management System (GCOMS). This position is based in Qatar and requires onsite work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver precise editing and formatting support for operational reports and provide advisory input to the U.S. Government on interagency coordination.
- Perform HUMINT analysis and produce finalized HUMINT deliverables.
- Develop, review, and put into practice draft CI and HUMINT policies for the command.
- Handle daily HUMINT and HUMINT-related activities, respond to higher-echelon taskings, and coordinate with USSOCCENT, USCENTCOM, USSOCOM, and the Intelligence Community.
- Track budgets and oversee cost control.
- Make operational decisions in line with available capabilities, resources, and mission objectives.
- Ensure programs stay aligned with contract requirements and SOJTF-C J2X objectives.
- Work to resolve issues quickly and effectively in order to meet service-level agreements.
- Coordinate with SOJTF-C J2X, USSOCCENT, USCENTCOM, USSOCOM, and the Intelligence Community to satisfy operational needs and expectations.
- Act as a customer liaison to address concerns, gather feedback, and sustain strong client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8–12 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility.
- At least 3 years of operational experience in HUMINT or a closely related field.
- Counterintelligence Scope polygraph obtained within the last 5 years.
- Strong graduate-level English writing and editing ability.
- Working knowledge of GCOMS and interagency coordination processes.
- Understanding of intelligence oversight rules and security standards.
- At least 10 years of operational CI experience with demonstrated subject matter expertise.
- Completion of the DoD Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC).
- Completion of the Defense Advanced Training Course (DATC) or Source Operations Course (SOC).
- Completion of the Military Operations Training Course (MOTC), Field Tradecraft Course (FTC), or Operations Tradecraft Course (OTC).
- Completion of the Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT) Managers Course.
- No medical conditions that would prevent successful CENTCOM medical screening.
- Experience supporting U.S. Special Operations is preferred.
Additional Information
The employer has indicated a posted salary range of USD 90,000 to USD 95,000 per year.
