Night Porter

About the role

Young’s Pubs is hiring a Night Porter for The Hand and Spear, a well-known venue in Weybridge with a rich heritage. The property is located beside the train station and includes a boutique hotel, dining and event spaces, a spacious bar, and both covered and open-air outside seating areas. The business serves British gastro pub food made with fresh seasonal ingredients, along with real ales, premium wines, and cocktails.

The team is looking for a dependable and welcoming person to join a friendly environment. This position suits someone who enjoys working at night, supporting guests, and helping keep the hotel and pub running smoothly and safely.

Key duties

As the Night Porter, you will help maintain the safety and security of guests, the pub, and the hotel through the night. You will handle guest requests, welcome and check in late arrivals, and make sure room presentation stays to the expected standard. You will also prepare areas for breakfast service and complete any required health and safety checks or audits.

The ideal candidate will be committed to excellent customer service and bring a friendly, outgoing manner. You should be comfortable working independently when needed, have previous experience in a similar setting, communicate clearly, and pay close attention to detail. Strong spoken English and basic confidence with Microsoft Office are also expected.
