Job Purpose

The NDT Level III Technician will lead and carry out non-destructive testing inspections on offshore jacket structures. This position is focused on ensuring that inspection work meets applicable industry standards, project requirements, and safety expectations while delivering accurate and reliable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out and oversee NDT inspections on offshore jacket structures using MPI, PT, UT, and RT techniques.
  • Review and assess inspection findings against ASNT Level III requirements and project-specific criteria.
  • Draft thorough inspection reports that clearly capture observations, defects, and suggested corrective measures.
  • Make sure all inspection work follows safety procedures, relevant industry standards such as ASME, API, and DNV, and customer requirements.
  • Check, calibrate, and keep NDT equipment in proper working order so test results remain accurate and dependable.
  • Support and coach Level I and Level II technicians working on site.
  • Work closely with the QA/QC team and project management to complete inspections on schedule.
  • Flag any non-conformities or quality concerns immediately to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
  • Keep complete records of inspections, certifications, and equipment calibration activities.
  • Take part in safety meetings, toolbox discussions, and risk assessments whenever needed.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires ASNT Level III certification in MPI, PT, UT, and RT. Candidates should have at least 5 years of practical NDT inspection experience, including a minimum of 3 years working on offshore jacket structures. Experience in offshore oil and gas environments, especially platform and jacket inspections, is important. Strong familiarity with ASME, API, DNV, and client-specific standards is expected. A valid offshore medical certificate and BOSIET or HUET certification are preferred. Applicants should also be comfortable using NDT software and reporting tools and be able to communicate and write reports well in English.
