Mobile QA Engineer - AI Trainer

Overview

This role is for a mobile quality assurance engineer who will help train and improve AI systems. You’ll join a large global community of technical contributors working across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and other engineering disciplines to create real impact in AI development.

The work combines flexibility with technically challenging tasks. You may be asked to design and solve coding problems, build polished apps with useful features, and turn data analysis into clear visual insights. Your output will help refine intelligent systems as they learn and improve.

Some contributors do this work alongside another full-time job, while others use it as their main focus and select projects and hours based on their own availability.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that functions as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid projects will be made available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve a range of coding challenges used to train AI, with a strong focus on Android development.
• Produce clean code samples along with thorough explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve future AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
• Preferred hands-on experience with Kotlin.
• Ability to work in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Good writing ability and solid grammar.
• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress.
• Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.

Contract and payment details

This is an independent contractor engagement. Compensation is paid hourly, starting at $50 to $100+ per hour, with higher rates possible for selected projects. Payments are made through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. No payment or fee will ever be requested from applicants.

Location and eligibility

The opportunity is available only to candidates based in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Applicants outside these countries will not see assessments or available work on the platform at this time.

Additional notes

This position is tied to AI training work rather than a traditional employment setup, and project selection as well as working times can be arranged around personal availability.
