Merchandiser/Stocker - Hub

Role overview

This position supports store presentation and hub operations for O'Reilly Auto Parts in Metropolitan Fresno. The role focuses on keeping the sales floor organized and shoppable, handling stock movement accurately, and supporting installer-related work when needed. In larger installer-volume stores, the role may also function as a stock puller for the installer area.

Compensation

The pay range for this job is $16.90 to $24.90 per hour. The final hourly wage will meet or exceed the legal minimum wage for the work location. Additional earnings may be available through annual or quarterly performance pay, as well as hourly premiums in certain situations. Premium pay can vary based on schedule, facility, season, or the specific work performed, and more than one premium may apply when eligibility requirements are met.

Essential responsibilities

The job includes maintaining a clean, full, and well-fronted sales floor; following planograms and display instructions; preparing sales areas; and helping customers locate merchandise.

Core duties also include checking in stock, pricing items, placing merchandise, updating displays, and completing all out-front price changes. The role requires keeping sale signage current, ensuring the sales flyer rack is stocked, and making sure enough promotional product is available. When promotions end, sale materials must be removed and pricing restored.

Other responsibilities include helping with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, store to-do items, and weekly team tasks. The position also serves as a visible theft deterrent on the front floor and supports Image Maker duties.

For installer operations, this role may help pull and stage deliveries with ISS, coordinate with delivery specialists and the store manager, assist in choosing efficient and safe delivery routes, and help complete quarterly vehicle inspections and maintenance. Back room and installer counter housekeeping are also part of the job.

In the hub function, the role may act as a store order puller by receiving transfer requests from area stores, picking parts accurately and quickly from stock tickets, sorting them by store, placing them in delivery tubs, checking damaged or aged packaging, and keeping the work area safe and orderly.

Requirements

• Comfort working with number sequences and maintaining accuracy.
• Strong organizational ability.
• Ability to work safely and stay alert to unsafe conditions or behavior.
• Previous stocking experience is preferred.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is preferred.
• Multi-language fluency is desirable, with Spanish especially valued.
