About the role
Northpower is seeking a meticulous and proactive Master Data Specialist to join its Energy Services division. This role focuses on protecting the quality, consistency, and governance of master data used across business systems. You will work with data tied to fleet, equipment, customers, vendors, and materials, making sure information is reliable, well-structured, and aligned with company standards.
By partnering with teams across the business, you will help enable better decision-making and support process improvements through strong data management practices.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, revise, and maintain master records in ERP and associated systems
- Keep data accurate, complete, and consistent across databases
- Carry out routine reviews and cleansing activities to preserve data quality
- Spot and fix duplicates, errors, and inconsistencies in records
- Help apply data governance rules, standards, and naming practices
- Work alongside procurement, finance, supply chain, and IT stakeholders
- Respond to data-related questions and provide end-user assistance
- Support data migration, system enhancements, and new platform rollouts
- Record procedures and help create training resources
About you
You are well organised, detail-driven, and comfortable working with data. You can work independently as well as with others, and you take pride in delivering work that is accurate and dependable.
The ideal candidate will have experience in data entry, data administration, or a similar function, along with exposure to ERP or master data platforms such as JDE, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. Strong attention to detail, sound analytical thinking, and confident communication with stakeholders are important for success in this role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data tools is expected. Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices would be an advantage. A qualification in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Data Management is preferred but not required.
