Role Summary

The Mass Inventory Analyst will own forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment analysis, and reporting for major mass retail partners, with a primary focus on Walmart and Target. The role works closely with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and retailer inventory teams to keep forecasts accurate, inventory moving smoothly, and business performance well analyzed.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Walmart and Target planning teams to build forecast plans.
• Maintain internal forecasts for both retailers, making sure they stay accurate at the item level and overall business level, and remain aligned with account strategy.
• Act as the main contact for Walmart and Target inventory analysts and replenishment managers.
• Develop and maintain ladder plans for Walmart and Target so inventory flows correctly and purchase orders are created on time.
• Prepare detailed forecast and inventory reports for the Purchasing team to help with domestic inventory flow planning.
• Coordinate with GFE on import purchase orders, forecast updates, and factory changes.
• Review Walmart Connect and Roundel campaign results to support future marketing spend and business decisions.
• Analyze promotional performance and share recommendations to improve outcomes.
• Pull together POS data from e-commerce and retail channels to spot trends and identify opportunities for new listings and broader assortments.
• Create ad hoc reports, insights, and recommendations that support business goals and changing needs.

Additional Responsibilities

With training and a working knowledge of systems and processes, the role may also include support during busy quoting and planning periods, including item setup tasks, as well as ad hoc Circana reporting.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• Prior experience in inventory planning, forecasting, analytics, supply chain, sales support, or a similar area is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are essential.
• Solid Excel skills and comfort working with data are needed.
• The ability to juggle several projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment is important.
• Excellent organization and a strong eye for detail are required.
• Clear communication and strong collaboration skills are necessary.
• Experience with retail customers, inventory systems, or reporting platforms is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms for analysis, reporting, and productivity is a plus.
