About the company
LinkedIn is a global professional network focused on helping people create economic opportunity. Its products are designed to help members connect with others, find new opportunities, build skills, and gain useful insights. The company also emphasizes employee development and aims to foster a workplace built on trust, care, inclusion, and fun.
The organization is seeking to improve how the world works through this role.
Role overview
This position sits within Strategic Planning & Initiatives under Go-to-Market Operations and leads the Process Improvement Engine team. The team supports transformational programs that improve sales processes and help drive efficiency and growth for the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions business.
The role requires a hands-on people manager with strong program leadership, clear communication, relationship-building ability, and analytical thinking. The manager is expected to guide the team, support complex cross-functional work, and help deliver multiple large-scale initiatives at the same time.
The work arrangement is hybrid, meaning the role is performed partly from home and partly from a LinkedIn office on selected days based on business needs. The position may be based in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale.
Responsibilities
- Lead programs from start to finish, including defining a data-backed hypothesis, building recommendations, influencing decisions with leadership, shaping stakeholder engagement, planning projects, and driving change management and operational readiness.
- Coach and support team members so they understand program and change management methods, and ensure they have the training and resources needed to deliver strong program outcomes.
- Create effective partnerships across a broad stakeholder group and set the team up for success.
- Serve as the program lead by ensuring initiatives are properly structured, risks are addressed, team members are trained, and success is measured through the right KPIs.
- Keep stakeholders informed through regular updates on program progress, performance, and visibility.
- Spot risks early and work with stakeholders and cross-functional peers to build mitigation plans for the team’s portfolio of programs.
- Develop the team by sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and continuously raising performance standards.
- Operate with an ownership mindset, contribute beyond the immediate function, and deliver results that help scale the business.
Qualifications
Required background includes at least 6 years of experience in program management, project management, management consulting, sales or go-to-market operations, process improvement, or a similar area. People management experience of 2 or more years is also required, along with a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical or related field. Working knowledge of MS Office tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is expected.
Preferred experience includes the ability to manage time well, prioritize independently, and meet deadlines with limited supervision. Experience in high-growth, performance-focused environments is valued, along with strong collaboration, influence, organization, and program management skills. The role also calls for comfort with ambiguous problems, effective data presentation, quick learning of new software, strategic thinking, consultative and data-driven problem solving, and accountability across cross-functional teams. Additional advantages include experience with CRM, sales, and data visualization tools; AI fluency; knowledge of sales workflows such as pipeline management, engagement tracking, account planning, quote-to-cash, and order-to-cash; process and workflow design skills; SQL or other programming knowledge; experience in digital advertising or marketing; and PMP or Six Sigma certification.
