Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Licensing Specialist position is based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The role centers on handling licensing work end to end, including preparing, filing, tracking, and renewing applications with the relevant state and local authorities. You will maintain accurate license records, monitor expiry timelines, and make sure renewals are completed on time so operations are not interrupted.
Key Responsibilities
The position requires regular coordination with internal teams, government offices, and outside stakeholders to understand requirements, address licensing-related queries, and support audits or inspections. You will also keep track of regulatory updates, assist with compliance-related documentation, and share status updates with management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Practical knowledge of licensing work, including permits, approvals, and regulatory paperwork.
- Strong analytical ability and research skills to review rules, understand requirements, and prepare precise submissions.
- Clear communication and customer handling skills for working with authorities, internal teams, and external counterparts.
- Strong attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to manage several deadlines at once.
- Exposure to regulatory processes in alcoholic beverages or FMCG environments is beneficial.
- Comfort using MS Office or comparable software for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to work from the Kolkata location and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional setting.
