Role overview

Westfill Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Leading Hand for its Service Crew / Projects Crew team in Perth, Western Australia. In this role, you will supervise and support crew members while helping deliver underground mining works safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key duties

• Carry out primary and secondary fan installations, escapeways, vent doors, pump stations, and similar underground works.
• Perform general service crew tasks such as installing mine services and completing face preparation activities.
• Plan and coordinate work alongside surface plant and mining operations teams.
• Partner with mining and engineering teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

What you will receive

• 12% superannuation paid on all hours worked.
• Fortnightly payroll.
• Continuous project-based work.
• $1,000 referral bonus for bringing in mates.

Experience and safety requirements

• Hands-on underground mining background, with Service Crew experience essential.
• Prior experience in a Leading Hand role is essential.
• Ability to supply RPLs.
• Current manual driver’s licence and the capability to operate underground vehicles with the required IT & LV RPLs.
• Handheld airleg experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of underground mining rules, procedures, and the dangerous goods card requirement.
• Comfort working in confined spaces and physically demanding environments.
• Must consistently follow strict safety procedures and work standards.
