Opportunity Overview

SJ Group is welcoming expressions of interest from experienced professionals for upcoming opportunities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The organization is looking for a Land Surveyor to contribute to construction supervision and engineering assignments by carrying out survey work, checking site measurements, and confirming that activities follow approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform land, topographic, and construction surveys based on project needs.
• Check site dimensions, elevations, alignments, and coordinates for construction tasks.
• Set up and preserve survey control points and benchmarks.
• Examine engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Track contractor survey work and confirm the precision of setting-out activities.
• Produce survey reports, field records, sketches, and as-built information.
• Liaise with engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to address survey-related concerns.
• Keep survey instruments correctly calibrated and in good working condition.
• Assist in preparing and validating as-built drawings and related documentation.

Requirements

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or another relevant field.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in land surveying, construction surveying, or engineering projects.
• Hands-on ability to use surveying tools such as total stations, GPS/GNSS units, and digital levels.
• Experience handling survey data and working with applicable software tools.
• Solid knowledge of surveying methods, standards, and construction procedures.
• Capability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Prior GCC or KSA experience is preferred.
