Junior Operations Supervisor

Role overview

Gopuff is hiring a Junior Operations Supervisor to join its operations function in Greater Manchester. This position reports directly to the Site Leader and forms an important part of the site leadership group. The role calls for energy, determination, a positive mindset, and a willingness to take on a fast-moving operational challenge.

As a key member of the site team, you will help maintain strong operational performance across the micro-fulfilment centre so customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Gopuff serves customers with everyday essentials at all hours, and this role contributes to keeping that promise.

Shift leadership and warehouse operations

• Set the standard for the team during your shift by leading from the front and supporting the management of staff on duty.
• Help onboard and train new colleagues, and demonstrate strong knowledge of processes and product handling.
• Pick and pack customer orders carefully and accurately for dispatch.
• Support the management of delivery partners to help ensure a smooth and efficient handoff to customers.
• Contact customers when products are unavailable or need to be substituted.
• Receive incoming goods from suppliers and check that physical quantities match the purchase order or invoice, resolving any mismatches.
• Place stock into the correct inventory locations, carry out cycle counts, and help reduce out-of-stock situations.
• Manage waste and compliance requirements, including work related to the Too Good To Go partnership.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, compliant, and aligned with operating standards.
• Support on-site health and safety compliance and testing.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant, retail, or warehouse setting. You should be comfortable using basic web-based tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. A strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, honesty, and a helpful attitude are important.

Good communication, strong organisation, teamwork, and a positive approach are also needed. You should be flexible and available to cover operational shifts, including 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am.
