Janitor / Custodian

Role overview

This role is focused on keeping the facility tidy, sanitary, and safe for employees across work areas, walkways, break rooms, offices, and exterior spaces within the site boundary. The position supports a clean and welcoming environment for all associates.

Key responsibilities

• Sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and flag any maintenance concerns to the right team.
• Sweep, clean, and maintain floors throughout common walking areas in the facility.
• Maintain the cleanliness of walkways, drinking fountains, and indoor as well as outdoor break areas, while checking for supply needs and maintenance issues.
• Remove lint, dust, oil, and grease from equipment, overhead piping, and conveyors using tools such as brushes, air hoses, or steam cleaners.
• Collect reusable and recyclable scrap materials for salvage and place them into designated containers.
• Keep the supply closet or janitorial cart organized and clean.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum qualifications

The role requires the ability to read and write basic English. Candidates should also understand the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals.

Experience required

Entry-level experience is acceptable; up to 3 months of experience is listed.
