Role overview
Golden Software is hiring an IT Support Specialist to strengthen its IT and Operations support function. What you will handle
- Respond to and triage internal support requests from team members.
- Maintain clear documentation for IT operations procedures and policies.
- Support security and compliance-related activities.
- Help provision, track, and maintain IT equipment and assets.
- Administer SaaS platforms and services to support reliability and performance.
Skills and experience needed
To be successful in this role, you should bring at least two years of experience in a similar position. You should also be comfortable working with cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Confluence, Jira, Slack, and Zoom, along with other comparable platforms.
Experience with both Windows and Linux administration is important, as is the ability to create and maintain documentation for systems, services, and processes. Familiarity with ticketing tools such as Jira and Zendesk is expected, along with exposure to remote administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
You should have a working understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices. Experience with WordPress administration and website maintenance is also relevant. In addition, knowledge of IP networking concepts, DNS, VPNs, remote access tools such as Tailscale, firewalls, and routers will be useful.
Basic scripting ability in PowerShell and Bash for automation tasks is valued, as is a foundational understanding of relational databases and SQL-based systems such as MySQL.
Compensation and work arrangement
This is a full-time remote position based in the United States. The compensation range for the role is USD 55,000 to USD 80,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
There may be optional team events in the Golden, Colorado area several times each year. Travel for in-person team and company meetings is required about 1 to 4 times annually.
