Role overview
Join Baker Hughes’ Gas Technology Services (GTS) Digital team, a core part of its digital business, and help drive the early stages of customer engagement for digital solutions. In this position, you will translate customer needs into suitable digital offerings, support commercial teams in turning opportunities into projects, and share newly identified product requirements with the product development function to strengthen the portfolio over time.
The team is also seeking someone who can support emerging energy market opportunities such as co-location data centers, new fuels including hydrogen, blue ammonia and hydrogen solutions, mining, and other developing verticals, while continuing to focus on established segments like LNG, upstream, pipelines, and downstream.
What you will do
- Help build the sales pipeline and contribute to early business growth alongside Solution Architects.
- Bring forward ideas for commercial offerings and support Product Leadership in creating new program streams based on market feedback.
- Define strategies for specific customers and projects, then coordinate with Regional and Account Sales Leads to prioritize pursuits and ensure sales-process compliance during demand creation.
- Share relevant content across the IET and BH organizations by working with Solution Architects, Sales, and Commercial peers, while also using Digital Delivery integrated solutions to support growth.
- Carry out market research and check customer and market use cases.
- Contribute to building the GTS Digital portfolio with thought leadership content that supports a repeatable, consistent approach to regional sales and opportunity management.
- Share content and customer outcome insights with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the wider GTS and Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) organizations.
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience and knowledge gained through work.
- At least 5 years of customer-facing experience in aftermarket services within the energy sector.
- Background in digital services.
- Understanding of digital sales methods and strong negotiation ability.
- Proven skill in analyzing issues, solving problems, and guiding stakeholders in complex matrix organizations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and leadership presence.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
