Role overview
This part-time, on-site position in Dubai is focused on improving how production and operations run day to day. The Industrial Engineering Manager will guide industrial engineering efforts that strengthen workflow efficiency, resource use, quality outcomes, and productivity across the business.
What you will do
- Examine production processes and identify opportunities to make them more efficient.
- Improve how labor, materials, equipment, and other resources are allocated and used.
- Lead process improvement work across manufacturing and related operations.
- Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to keep operations running smoothly.
- Apply engineering management practices that support quality and productivity targets.
- Carry out time-and-motion analysis to understand and improve workflow performance.
- Track and review operational metrics to spot issues and measure progress.
- Create or refine standard operating procedures to support consistent execution.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to remove bottlenecks and solve operational problems.
- Coach and support team members through guidance, mentoring, and technical direction.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and other technical documentation for management review.
- Ensure work practices remain aligned with quality requirements and safety rules.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in industrial engineering and engineering management, along with the confidence to guide technical projects and teams. Experience in manufacturing or other industrial settings is important, particularly in quality-driven environments. You should be comfortable analyzing data, turning performance findings into practical improvement actions, and communicating effectively with different stakeholders. Familiarity with lean methods, Six Sigma, continuous improvement tools, and supply chain principles will be valuable.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
- Proven knowledge of industrial engineering and engineering management concepts.
- Practical experience with process improvement and manufacturing optimization.
- Understanding of lean practices, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methods.
- Working knowledge of supply chain basics such as inventory control, logistics coordination, and production planning.
- Background in industrial or manufacturing environments, ideally with a focus on quality.
- Ability to interpret data and performance measures and convert them into action plans.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across departments.
- Awareness of relevant standards and safety regulations; quality or process improvement certifications such as Lean or Six Sigma are an advantage.
