Company Overview
MELLFIELDS LIMITED is a family-run business established in 1982 and based at Tower Industrial Estate in Eastleigh, United Kingdom.
Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Freight Forwarder position focuses on import freight operations, customs documentation, and related transport coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import maritime freight movements, including both FCL and LCL shipments.
- Handle import consignments end to end with confidence and accuracy.
- Prepare Customs Import CDS entries; experience with ASM is preferred, though transferable knowledge of other systems is acceptable.
- Support export customs declaration work where needed.
- Prepare Transit T1 documentation when required.
- Use CNS DESTIN8 regularly and work with ETSF where possible.
- Apply prior transport-related experience to improve coordination across shipments.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should bring at least 2 years of previous experience in import maritime freight forwarding, with hands-on exposure to FCL/LCL work and import shipment handling.
Additional Information
Experience with export customs declarations and Transit T1 processes is considered an advantage. Familiarity with CNS DESTIN8 is required, and ETSF experience is preferred.
