Forklift Maintenance Technician

Job summary

This position is centered on keeping industrial equipment running smoothly through planned servicing and rapid response repairs. The technician will use practical fault-finding skills and coordinate with other teams to help prevent downtime in production.

Key responsibilities

• Work in line with cGMP requirements and help ensure they are consistently followed.
• Maintain industrial shutter doors, both automatic and manual, as well as cleaning machines and electric and diesel forklifts across all Julphar plants.
• Identify and report technical issues and safety hazards, and maintain safe working practices throughout the job.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as well as corrective/breakdown repairs.
• Read, understand, and apply maintenance SOPs.
• Keep manuals, drawings, and technical specifications updated and available for the relevant equipment.
• Review blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
• Diagnose faults efficiently, determine hazards or failures, and repair or replace defective parts and components.
• Follow established quality procedures and safety rules.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to reduce the risk of production interruptions.

Qualifications and experience

• A diploma or technical certificate in Electromechanical Engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience, specifically involving forklifts of all types, industrial shutter doors, and cleaning equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of cGMP and data integrity principles is needed.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, along with the ability to document work and prepare reports effectively.
